Chairman Emeritus K S Narayanan was one of nine eminent personalities honoured by the Rotary Club of Madras at its platinum jubilee celebrations. The Governor of Tamil Nadu, P S Ramamohan Rao, gave away the awards to the ‘navaratnas’ for their distinguished service to society. The award carried a citation and a platinum coin. M Balamuralikrishna, S Muthiah, Dr A M Selvaraj, Kalanidhi Narayanan, M N Nambiar, Lalgudi G Jayaraman, Dr M S Swaminathan and K Venkatasubramanian were the other awardees of the evening. Sudhakara Reddy, President, Rotary Club of Madras, spoke on the occasion.
