Sanmar Micropack Limited (SMPL), which has been manufacturing a wide range of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs) for professional applications for the last 15 years, adheres to strict quality control measures. The unit has obtained and maintained approvals for its products from different approval agencies, both national and international. Last year, SMPL supplied High-Rel Components/Sub-systems for the launch of PSLV-C2 from Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) and received a certificate of appreciation from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC), Bangalore, develops satellite systems like IRS, INSAT etc.,
which require high reliability PCBs for continued functionality for more than ten years. Based on ISRO’s initial assessment of SMPL products/processes, SMPL will now be a partner to meet their long-term requirements. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to this effect was signed between the two organizations on October 9, 2000.
