The recent merger of Overseas Sanmar Financial Limited (OSFL) with Nicco-Uco Alliance Credit Limited, has come in for critical acclaim both for the method–via an Asset Reconstruction Company route, described as the most tax-efficient method by Sanmar group Chairman N Sankar–and the high customer-friendliness of the entire operation. OSFL President P Viswanathan spoke to us at length on the merger. We publish excerpts.

The tenth anniversary celebrations of the Madhuram Narayanan Centre for exceptional Children on 12th December were as always beautifully planned and flawlessly organised, a tribute to the dedication of the moving spirit behind the venture, Air Vice Marshal V Krishnaswamy (Retd.), his wife Jaya Krishnaswamy, the children at the centre, staff, parents and volunteers.
