Steel Foundries

The Steel Foundries business comprises Sanmar Matrix Metals in Viralimalai Trichy, India, Matrix Metals in the US and Acerlan Matrix Metals, Mexico.

The division began by providing cost competitive foundry services to its joint venture partners. It benefits from the global reach and long standing relationships that the Group enjoys with its joint venture partners.

The steel foundry expanded to include the rail-road and off-the-road vehicle segments of the transportation industry. Scaling up from captive consumption to newer segments, the state-of-the-art, fully automated steel foundry today has a Sand Foundry and an Investment Foundry and renders machine shop services to its domestic and global customers.

The foundries provide a wide range of castings, machining and tooling services to its global customers in industry segments such as Valves, Oil-Field, Nuclear, Military, Construction, Mining and Locomotive/Transit.
