CHENNAI: Flowserve, US has been presented with the first Indo-US Business Co-operation Award for 2006 instituted by Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) and Sanmar Group.
It is in recognition of its significant contribution to the establishment, maintenance and promotion of business relations between the two nations. After receiving the award at a function in Chennai on Wednesday, Mr Lewis Kling, president & CEO, Flowserve, said the corporation employs 14,000 people in 36 countries. It has 10 facilities in four cities in India employing over 2,200. It has successful joint ventures with the Sanmar Group and L&T.
In future, it expects India and its employees to play a significant role in the global business having access to the corporation’s wealth of technology, knowledge, systems and practices.
